Production & Transport Coordinator – Stephen Papadimitriou

From a young age, Stephen knew that he wanted to work in the film business. Watching movies like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm street on his families tiny 14' combo TV/VCR, Stephen developed a love for the horror genre. Not understanding how films were made, thinking that the actors decided how things were done, he started to participate in theater at school and going to acting camp in the summer. As he got older, he would direct friends in elaborate scenes after hours of watching movies.

By the time Stephen was in high school he began to find out how movies were made and realized that he wanted to become a director. Writing scripts and using the Hi8 Camcorders and tape to tape editing systems that his school had available, he started to discover film making techniques and really understanding how things worked. Inspired by films like Reservoir Dogs, he began to feel his dreams could be possible. Taking a co-op placement at a production company, Stephen got his real taste of what production was like.
Stephen started out as a PA and move on to gripping for about four years. Still dreaming of directing Stephen made the move to production in hopes of getting closer to the creative process.

In between movies, Stephen has managed to write, produce, and direct four short films. Ranging from horror to satire to post apocalyptic destruction, Stephen has created his own style of film making.
